This one resonates with me. Thank you for sharing this.

I don’t think being present means you stop feeling or become numb to what hurts.

I think it means acknowledging that you’re not broken for carrying it.

I’ve lived through moments where the past, present, and future all felt impossibly heavy at once. Times where I couldn’t get back what was lost, no matter how much I wished I could. And it changes how you see things.

I’ve learned that living in the present isn’t about pretending everything is okay.

It’s about not letting your pain from the past or fear of the future steal the moments you still have.

Because life doesn’t wait.

So I choose to find something to be grateful for.

To do things that make me feel alive.

To be there for the people I love in the ways I can, right now.

You can carry pain and still live fully.

Those two things can exist at the same time.

You’re not broken.

You’re human.

And you don’t get this time back.
