I see you, all you smart people who truly see things as clearly as you do.
Fuck you — I see you.
Sadhguru, I see you. You’re not special, you’re not wise.
I see what you see.
Neil deGrasse Tyson — fuck you, I see things the same way you see them.
I mean, I love you man... I mean, Dr. Tyson, sir, yes. Please answer my letters.
But to all you smart people who see how everything connects —
how each fiber of everyone of us connects to every fiber that ever existed —
fuck you, I see that too.
I’m not special, and neither are you.
But maybe that’s the point.
We’re not special — we are what humanity is capable of.
And it all starts with kind words.
Words cost nothing but give so much.
What you choose to do with the words,
how you wield them in ways that promote good and productive thoughts
and emotions in others —
that’s where wisdom lives.
To promote education and the expansion of knowledge.
To know every human has the capacity to understand at least the basics
of human nature and live as part of it — in nature.
Not wild, not violent, not greedy.
This is not human nature.
The default nature for humans is sharing.
It’s community.
It’s looking after one another and listening to what we all have to say.
Listen to what we all have to say.
You see this in many Indigenous cultures.
Europeans called them primitive.
I don’t think so.
They found the point at which they could live in harmony with Mother Earth
and they stayed there — for what, thousands of years?
What is the point of anything else?
So what if they didn’t even have the wheel?
They didn’t need it.
They had horses and a million other ways to do what needed to be done.
There was no necessity for it — and human endeavors always start with necessity.
Okay, I don’t know if the wheel thing is true or not,
but that’s the point, isn’t it?
I don’t care to be right about the small details.
It’s all about what brings us together.
That’s what’s important.
I don’t fret about the future anymore because I see it all now.
I can see us evolving as rapidly as the technology that is fueling our evolution.
And here’s the thing — I see all the ills of the world being repaired.
Human suffering has an end.
I see it — I just hope we don’t fuck it up before it has a chance to play out.
And I see the evidence everywhere.
People are tired of injustice — they no longer see the need to tolerate it.
Most of us see the need to tear down the institutions that bind us.
Unfortunately, some of us are still looking at the wrong institutions.
But knowledge is more contagious than ignorance.
Once your eyes are open, they can never be shut.
I think that’s all I have to say — but I think I said a lot.
And if you think you’re smart, and you disagree…
Fact Check Me!
