This is brilliant, Eric. That line, “We built a world where authority is mistaken for intelligence, and intelligence is punished for lack of authority” deserves to be framed somewhere. You’ve nailed something I see every day in both academia and real life: the loudest voices often have the least to say, while the people who actually get it are dismissed for not having a stamp of approval.
Keep writing like this. You don’t need a title to prove you’re the real deal. 💛
I struggle. Titles have ruled my life for so long. There's the degrees i felt I didn't really earn and the martial arts titles I have to live up to. I mean Kyoshi (teacher of teachers) why would you put that kind of pressure on someone? But it's all good. Just trying to find my way.
Yeah, that’s a heavy weight to carry, especially when titles start to feel like cages instead of milestones. You don’t have to live up to them, just with them. You already earned what matters most: The awareness to question it.
I’ve seen so many people with degrees and masters and phd’s be completely wrong on many things and their senses are blurred by the fact they accomplished schooling.

With great power comes great responsibility! Did Stan Lee really create that line?

Thank you. I appreciate you.
