Run the Receipts
Young people today are speaking with such clarity it’s going to be impossible to ignore them.
As our generation’s language keeps getting more basic — softer around the edges, full of pleasantries and filler — they’re stripping all that away. No embellishments. No flowery bullshit. Just the point.
They say exactly what they mean, and boy, do they mean it.
If a young person tells you they’re coming for you,
you better fucking believe they’re coming for you.
These Greta Thunbergs are just the start.
You’ve got an entire generation developing a new language faster than this old bastard can keep up with.
You think it’s silly — the slang, the skipping, the Riz, whatever.
But look closer.
It’s efficient.
It’s evolving.
And the wildest part?
They all speak it.
Whether they admit it or not, they understand each other perfectly.
A whole global dialect built from speed, clarity, and intent.
And these little fuckers?
They’re getting smarter.
Not in the way standardized tests measure,
but in the way revolutions measure.
They see bullshit faster than we did.
They adapt quicker than we did.
And they communicate with a kind of laser-beam precision that makes excuses and half-truths impossible to hide behind.
They’re not waiting for permission.
They’re not asking for a turn.
They’re not looking for our approval.
They’re already here.
---
And that’s exactly what we need.
A couple generations raised on Sesame Street and a steady drumbeat of be kind, be curious, be human.
You really think racism stands a chance against that?
These kids know the science.
They’ve grown up with access to knowledge — real knowledge — not myths dressed up as tradition.
And the thing about curiosity?
It never goes away.
Once you teach a kid to question, they will question everything.
A curious kid with unlimited information in their pocket?
Slap your sister, Cletus — a revolution is coming.
And when it does,
all of us old-timers are going to have to brush up on our skippity Riz
just to keep up with the ones who are about to run the world.
