The Work Was Enough
The problem with people who chase perfection is that when they finally reach it, they don’t know what to do next.
So they keep pushing. They go further. They dig deeper. They strain themselves past the point of meaning — all because they can’t accept that the thing they built is already whole.
But sometimes… you’ve already done it.
You’ve become one with the work.
You already won.
And once you learn to accept that, you stop punishing yourself — and more importantly, you stop putting those impossible expectations on everyone else. Not everyone was built to carry that kind of load. Not everyone needs to. Some will shine brighter than others, and that’s okay. Everyone sees it. Everyone knows it.
Because perfection was never the point.
The point was the work you did, and the people you did it with.
It wasn’t flawless.
It wasn’t always kind.
It wasn’t even close to perfect.
But it was real.
And in the end, you did it.
And wow — what a wonderful thing.
